About the Oregon Shakespeare Festival
The Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival was established nearly a century ago. At present, it one of the oldest, largest, and longest running repertory theater
companies in the United States! Each festival season is eight months long and presents a total of 11 plays in one of three rotating theaters.
About the Theaters
The three Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters include the outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre, the Angus Bowmer Theatre, and the Thomas Theatre. The largest theater is the Elizabethan Stage, which seats up to 1, 190 people! The Angus Bowmer Theater is the second largest with 601 seats, and the Thomas Theatre is the most intimate, with 270 to 360 seats. When purchasing your tickets, always double check where the performance will be. The last thing that you want is to end up at the wrong theater!
Tips for Your Trip
- Arrive early to find a proper parking space! Performances begin promptly and late arrivals are not seated. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival does not refund tickets for late arrivals.
