Looking for another memorable evening activity during your Southern Oregon getaway? Mt. Ashland is hosting four Drive-In Movie Nights on Saturdays throughout August. The ski-area parking lot becomes a mountaintop theater, complete with a big screen, starry skies and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Take the scenic drive up the mountain, bring blankets and chairs—or create a cozy setup in the back of your pickup—and enjoy a nostalgic summer night at the movies.

This year’s lineup offers something different each Saturday: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on August 1, Mary Poppins on August 8, the original black-and-white Night of the Living Dead on August 15, and The Goonies on August 22. Please note that Night of the Living Dead is rated R and is not suitable for viewers under age 17. The parking lot opens at 7:00 p.m., concessions begin at 8:00 p.m. and each movie starts at 9:00 p.m. Admission is $30 per car, with up to eight people permitted per vehicle, and the movie’s sound plays through your car radio.

A Saturday movie beneath the stars is a fun addition to all the other things to see and do while staying at Country Willows Inn—from Oregon Shakespeare Festival performances and Britt concerts to wineries, restaurants and outdoor adventures.

After the movie, return to the peaceful countryside, settle into your comfortable room and enjoy a restful night at Country Willows. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to reserve your movie night in advance.
