We’d like to introduce two very special members of the Country Willows family—longtime guests and dear friends, Geoffrey and Galen, affectionately known by our team as “The Boys.”

For more than 30 years, Geoffrey and Galen have been part of the story here at Country Willows Inn. Their visits span nearly every chapter of the property—from the early days, long before the barn was transformed into our primary suites, when they would settle into the farmhouse rooms for extended stays. These days, the Sunrise Suite has become their favorite home away from home. If you happen to meet them during a visit, you’ll quickly see why they’re such a beloved part of our community. Visiting at least three times a year, they’ve become part of the natural rhythm of the inn—so much so that we often time the debut of our seasonal chef’s menu with their arrival, trusting their thoughtful palate to help set the tone for what’s ahead.
Now entering an exciting new chapter following Geoffrey’s recent retirement, 2026 has already taken them on some unforgettable journeys. From the bright lights of New York theater to the tropical beauty of Hawaii, and most notably, a long-awaited Antarctic expedition for Galen—with a stop in Buenos Aires to take in its rich culture and history—their travels have been nothing short of inspiring. The photos they’ve shared capture both quiet, intimate moments and sweeping, awe-inspiring landscapes, offering a glimpse into adventures that left us truly amazed.

One especially memorable image was captured right here at the inn—a stunning photograph of the moon. Galen gifted Geoffrey a telescope capable of capturing incredible detail, and seeing the moon so vividly from our own grounds was nothing short of breathtaking. It felt only right to share that sense of wonder with our guests as well.

Fresh off their “after tax season” stay, The Boys have just headed home—but not for long. They’ll return again in July with friends to enjoy the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, along with the incredible food, charm, and friendships they’ve built here over the years. As always, we look forward to welcoming them back.
